Job summary

Invecta is seeking an experienced Senior Wordings Underwriter in London to provide specialist technical support to underwriting, claims and stakeholders. You will draft, review and negotiate policy wordings, ensuring alignment with legal, regulatory and governance standards.

You will leverage extensive London Market and reinsurance knowledge, engage confidently with Lloyd's and regulators, and guide cross‑functional teams on complex wording issues.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in insurance wordings and contracts.
• Strong knowledge of London Market and reinsurance practices.
• Experience with multi-jurisdictional business, including US surplus lines and non-admitted risks.
• Confidence engaging with Lloyd's, regulators and external stakeholders.
• A good understanding of underwriting and claims.
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure documentation aligns with legal, regulatory, reinsurance and internal governance requirements.
• Partner with underwriters, brokers and third parties on new and amended wordings.

• Contribute to product development, market research and emerging market practice.

• Support regulatory reviews and promote fair customer outcomes.
• Contribute to training and the development of wording capability across the business.
