Senior Woodland Manager - Northamptonshire - £50,000

The Job:

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Woodland Manager to join their growing team. This role is ideal for a forestry professional with expertise in woodland management, estate consultancy, and team leadership. The successful candidate will take a lead role in managing lowland forestry estates, securing new business opportunities, and mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities include developing woodland management strategies, overseeing forestry contracts, and securing necessary permissions for operations. The role also involves exploring carbon initiatives, agroforestry, and Continuous Cover Forestry (CCF) while maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.

The Company:

Our client is a well-established forestry consultancy providing expert woodland management, estate planning, and environmental services. Working with private estates, landowners, and organisations, they specialise in sustainable forestry, grant funding, and carbon offset initiatives. Their team is dedicated to enhancing woodland assets through innovative and responsible management.

The Candidate:

  • Extensive experience in forestry and woodland management
  • Proven track record of delivering successful projects
  • Strong leadership, mentorship, and client management skills are essential
  • Thorough understanding of UK forestry regulations, grant schemes, and sustainable management practices is required
  • Chartered status (or working towards it) with the Institute of Chartered Foresters (ICF) is desirable

The Package:

  • Salary: Up to £50,000 doe
  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)
  • 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays
