Senior Women's Wear Designer - Jersey

Leading High Street Supplier - London

Full Time/Perm - Hybrid: 2-3 days wfh

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Women's Wear Designer across Jersey Casualwear to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for trends, colour and print and the ability to translate these into commercially successful ranges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with design director and account managers to design seasonal collections. Select fabrics, trims, colour palettes, prints and graphics that complement the design vision and USP.
• Conduct market research and trend analysis to stay ahead of industry developments.
• Create detailed sketches, technical drawings, and technical packs for each design.
• Work collaboratively with our customers creating initial rack ups of appropriate styling. Attending customer meetings with account manager, adhering to requirements and deadlines.
• Work closely with the technical and production team to ensure designs are to our established blocks, are feasible and align with manufacturing capabilities.

About you:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience with a focus in Women's Casual Jersey.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD programs.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and textiles.

Additional Requirements:

• Willingness to travel for research, sourcing, attending industry events.
• Passion for fashion and a deep understanding of current and future trends.
