A leading company in time and frequency standards is hiring a Windows Platform Engineer to develop software and automation solutions for critical national infrastructures. The successful candidate will work alongside skilled professionals in a secure environment, enhancing measurement accuracy and stability while complying with strict security requirements.
Our world-leading Time & Frequency department is seeking an experienced and practicing Windows Platform Engineer.
You will be joining our team at an exciting time - we maintain the UK’s National Time Scale, UTC (NPL), and are currently developing a new resilient Time Scale facility that will underpin our Critical National Infrastructure. This will address the risks associated with our dependency on global navigation satellite systems (such as GPS) that are vulnerable to both natural and intentional interference.
As Platform Engineer, you’ll collaborate with prominent Scientists and Engineers to develop and implement innovative, production-ready software and automation to improve time, quality, and cost.
Reporting to a Programme Manager, you'll be responsible for developing software and automation within defined timelines and budgets. You will utilize your analytical and technical skills to contribute to the design and implementation of automation that enhances measurement accuracy and stability. To succeed, you should have the following skills, experience, and qualifications:

For this role in the Time & Frequency department, you must have SC clearance with no restrictions, or the ability to obtain it.
