Job title: Senior Windows Infrastructure & Security Engineer

Location: London

The role:

My client, a boutique FinTech organisation, is looking for a Senior Windows Security Engineer to join their team.

The successful candidate will have expertise in Windows environments, a thorough grounding in Security, and the ability to optimise and develop the Infrastructure estate.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshooting Windows client and Server issues
• Managing Group Policy administration
• Taking ownership of Security for the Windows estate
• Automating repetitive tasks where possible
• Collaborating with other teams on cross-platform projects (Linux)
• Planning and implementing upgrades, Disaster Recovery (DR), Business Continuity (BC), etc.

Core skills required:

• Expertise across Windows environments, especially Server 16/19/22, and Windows 10/11
• Strong Active Directory experience including Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, etc.
• Proficiency with PowerShell for automation
• Good understanding of Windows Security fundamentals
• Experience with VMware / Hyper-V
• Ability to manage and execute projects
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible
