Senior Wholesale Banks Supervisor - Projects Team

Department – Sell Side

Division – Supervision, Policy and Competition

Salary – National (Edinburgh and Leeds) ranging from £52,400 to £71,200 and London £57,700 to £78,300 pro rata (salary offered will be based on skills and experience)

About the FCA

The FCA regulates the conduct of 45,000 firms in the UK to ensure our financial markets are honest, fair and competitive.

The Wholesale Banks Supervision Department oversees the conduct of investment banks, helping to ensure fair outcomes and strong market integrity. Our projects team is responsible for carrying out multi-firm reviews to assess how banks meet their conduct responsibilities, deliver good outcomes for clients and support the integrity of financial markets.

What will you be doing?

  • Co-designing and delivering multi-firm regulatory projects that assess bank conduct and communicate findings to the wider sector, working closely with colleagues across supervision and technical teams
  • Exploring conduct risks in wholesale banking by thoughtfully analysing FCA data and external insights
  • Leading and contributing to collaborative workstreams within a supportive supervisory team and wider department
  • Building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders at firms and other regulators through clear engagement
  • Preparing accessible, timely briefings for senior leaders and internal teams, sharing insights both verbally and in writing
  • Fostering an inclusive culture by actively supporting diversity, listening to different perspectives and encouraging respectful dialogue
