Job summary

Partner Company is seeking a Senior QA Engineer (Web) for a fully remote UK position. You will ensure quality across modern web apps, combining manual testing and test automation with Playwright and JavaScript/TypeScript, handling API tests, and collaborating with product and engineering teams.

You will own QA activities from reviewing specs to validating production releases, focusing on test coverage, performance, and defect reduction while working with internationally distributed teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with manual and automated web testing across the full lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies and end-to-end testing.
• Experience with cross-browser and responsive testing across major browsers.
• Proficiency with Playwright and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with API testing (REST/GraphQL) and Postman.
• Familiarity with Jira, Git, and Allure TestOps.
• Ability to work autonomously in distributed teams.
• Fluency in Russian and good English.
• Understanding of web technologies (HTTP/HTTPS, DOM, cookies).
• Nice to have experience with feeds/chats/subscriptions/media features.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA for features from hand-off to production release.
• Review specs, prepare test plans and test cases.
• Estimate testing efforts and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Perform functional, exploratory, regression, UI/UX, cross-browser, and API testing.
• Write and maintain automated tests with Playwright and JS/TS.
• Balance manual and automated testing ~50/50.
• Document test activities and participate in peer reviews of test code.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and engineers throughout the cycle.
• Support production releases with smoke and regression testing.
• Track QA metrics like escaped defects and test coverage.
