Job summary

ERM in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead industrial water and wastewater projects, delivering assessments, due diligence and water stewardship initiatives for clients in pharma, manufacturing, mining and more.

You will conduct desktop reviews, site audits and data-driven savings calculations, mentor junior staff, and contribute to proposals and technical methodologies across multidisciplinary teams. A hybrid/office-based arrangement in the UK is supported.

Qualifications

• Experience in water, wastewater, environmental engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in water reduction assessments, water audits or maturity assessments.
• Ability to interpret operational water data and translate findings into recommendations.
• Experience with industrial sectors like pharma, food & beverage, manufacturing, mining or water utilities.
• Strong report writing and client communication skills.
• Ability to work independently on technical workstreams within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver water efficiency, water reduction and water maturity assessments for industrial, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, mining and metals clients.
• Conduct desktop data reviews, site-based water audits, opportunity identification and practical water savings calculations.
• Review water/wastewater treatment systems, including regulatory/compliance drivers, operational performance and options for improvement.
• Support technology due diligence and benchmarking of conventional and innovative water/wastewater treatment and management solutions.
• Prepare clear, client-ready technical reports, recommendations and business-case inputs.
• Support mining and legacy-site water management projects, including review of monitoring data, conceptual site model inputs, and preliminary environmental risk assessment.
• Contribute to proposals, work-winning materials and technical methodologies for water efficiency, industrial wastewater, mine water and water stewardship opportunities.
• Coordinate fieldwork inputs and collaborate with site teams, environmental specialists, engineers and project managers.
• Mentor junior colleagues on data review, site audit preparation, opportunity calculations and technical writing.
