Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking a Senior Environmental Water Quality Consultant to join our Water Environment Team in the UK.

Ideally based in our Northern offices, with flexibility for other locations, you will lead catchment investigations, develop nature-based solutions, and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams across the UK and Ireland. You will prepare technical proposals, review outputs, build client relationships, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Candidate holds a degree (and postgraduate qualification preferred) in water science or a related field.
• Experience in water quality consultancy and catchment science is essential.
• Strong understanding of water environment legislation and guidance.

Responsibilities

• Lead catchment investigations and nature-based solutions across UK projects.
• Prepare technical proposals and reports; review outputs and coordinate field teams.
• Build and nurture client relationships and pursue new business opportunities.
• Mentor junior staff and support cross-disciplinary collaboration.
