Job summary

Government Recruitment Service is seeking a Deputy Legionella & Water Hygiene Subject Matter Expert to support DWP Estates across a complex UK-wide estate. The role provides national technical leadership, oversight of WRAs, schemes of control, and BAU activities to maintain water safety and compliance across diverse buildings.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, experience with water safety standards, and collaboration with FM contractors and asset teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Experience in Legionella risk management and water hygiene
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to work across a national estate and collaborate with multiple stakeholders in a regulated environment

Responsibilities

• Act as a DWP Estates Responsible Person for Water Safety and Water Hygiene SME
• Review Water Risk Assessments and Written Schemes of Control for compliance
• Provide technical leadership and assurance across BAU water hygiene activity and projects
• Collaborate with FM contractor, providers, and asset management teams to drive improvements
