Government Recruitment Service is recruiting a Deputy Legionella & Water Hygiene Subject Matter Expert in Sheffield. The role delivers national technical assurance for Legionella risk management within the DWP Estates water safety framework.

You will act as a technical lead alongside another SME, guiding BAU activity, risk assessments, and evidence-based controls across a multi-site estate. The post holder ensures compliance with ACOP L8 and HSG274, reviews WRAs and written schemes, and

• Experience in Legionella risk management and water hygiene.
• Ability to provide independent technical assurance on water safety.
• Strong analytical and communication skills for reporting and governance.

Responsabilidades

• Act as a DWP Estates Responsible Person for Water Safety and Water Hygiene SME.
• Maintain an effective water management system across the estate.
• Oversee Water Risk Assessments, Written Schemes of Control and BAU activity.
• Provide technical leadership on repairs, maintenance and investment in water assets.
• Collaborate with contractors and providers to ensure compliance and evidence-based actions.
• Lead site investigations and root-cause analyses to close assurance gaps.
