Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Wastewater Modeller to lead the development of wastewater models and manage key project aspects. You will work closely with clients to expand Arcadis’s project portfolio through strategic interactions and provide leadership in engagement with water utilities.

The role focuses on tackling flooding challenges, reducing CSO spills, and ensuring compliance with UK regulatory requirements. Mentoring others and guiding project delivery are central to the position.

Qualifications

• Advanced expertise in hydraulic modelling for wastewater infrastructure.
• Experience coordinating teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in InfoWorks ICM and GIS.
• Chartered status in ICE or CIWEM desirable.
• Proven model QA procedures and strong report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure modelling projects, managing tasks of varying scales.
• Review and verify sewer network models, oversee surveys and management.
• Develop strategic solutions to mitigate flooding and CSO spills.
• Support designers at concept and detailed design stages.
• Prepare high-quality technical reports and presentations.
• Guide junior team members and foster collaborative work environment.
• Assist with bids including narratives, cost estimates and programmes.
• Coordinate resources, QA, subcontractor interactions, and client feedback.
• Collaborate with engineers and environmental specialists to ensure project integrity.
