Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks a Senior/Principal Wastewater Hydraulic Modeller to lead a hydraulic modelling team in Sheffield, delivering robust sewer network models and catchment analyses for water companies, local authorities and developers across the North of England and Midlands. You will drive technical excellence, client management and bid development while mentoring staff.

The role requires degree qualification, strong modelling skills, and a proven track record in project delivery and team

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in civil/ hydraulic engineering or related field.
• Chartered status with ICE or CIWEM preferred.
• Proven track record in coordinating and delivering technically excellent projects on time and budget.
• Knowledge of UK Water Industry regulation and sustainability.
• Experience leading an engineering team on wastewater modelling projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the hydraulic modelling team and manage resource planning.
• Oversee hydraulic model build, verification, and quality assurance.
• Develop client relationships with water companies and authorities.
• Prepare bids and estimates for new work.
• Mentor junior staff and promote technical innovation.
