We are currently recruiting multiple Senior Wastewater (Hydraulic) Modellers for major long-term frameworks across the UK.

RPS, in partnership with Tetra Tech, has secured a £100 million framework with United Utilities to improve river health in Northwest England. This is an exciting opportunity to work in the water industry, contributing to sustainable and innovative projects.

About The Team:

RPS Water Consulting comprises Engineers, Modellers, and Data Analysts providing Asset Management and Operational Strategy services to water industry clients. We work on prestigious AMP8 programmes, offering long-term career development.

About You:

Ideal candidates will have experience in urban drainage projects, proficiency in InfoWorks ICM, GIS software, and strong teamwork skills. Leadership qualities and client service orientation are essential.

Your Responsibilities:

1. Develop and deliver wastewater catchment strategies, hydraulic modelling, and analysis within project constraints.
2. Assess solution feasibility and engineering buildability factors.
3. Improve tools, procedures, and processes for efficiency and innovation.
4. Ensure quality, standards compliance, and governance adherence.
5. Travel to client sites or offices as needed.
6. Lead and manage project teams, fostering strong client relationships.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

• Knowledge of water industry legislation and regulation.
• Experience managing projects of varying sizes.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Expertise in InfoWorks ICM and ICM Exchange.
• Deep knowledge in hydraulic modelling and wastewater infrastructure.
• Proficiency in MS 365, PowerBI, SharePoint, GIS systems; experience with FME, Optimatics, Python is advantageous.

Qualifications:

• Degree in a relevant technical subject; postgraduate qualifications are a plus.
• Chartered status or working towards it, with professional affiliation (e.g., IET, InstMC, CIWEM).
