Job description

We are currently recruiting multiple Senior Wastewater (Hydraulic) Modellers for major long-term frameworks across the UK.

RPS, in partnership with Tetra Tech, has secured a £100 million framework from United Utilities to enhance river health in Northwest England. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects in the water industry, supporting long-term programmes and AMP8 initiatives.

About The Team:

RPS Water Consulting comprises Engineers, Modellers, and Data Analysts providing Asset Management and Operational Strategy services to water industry clients. We work on prestigious AMP8 programmes, ensuring career growth and legacy building.

About You:

You should have experience in urban drainage projects, proficiency in InfoWorks ICM, GIS software, and leadership qualities to mentor team members and collaborate effectively with clients.

Your Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and deliver wastewater catchment strategies, hydraulic modelling, and analysis within budget and quality standards.
  2. Assess solution feasibility and engineering factors.
  3. Improve tools, procedures, and processes for efficiency and innovation.
  4. Ensure quality and compliance with standards.
  5. Travel as required to client sites or offices.
  6. Lead and manage project teams, fostering strong client relationships.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of water industry legislation and regulation.
  • Experience managing projects of varying sizes.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Expertise in InfoWorks ICM, hydraulic modelling, GIS, and related tools.
  • Degree in a relevant technical field; postgraduate and chartership are advantages.
