NSB Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a leading multidisciplinary consultancy at the forefront of sustainable design and innovation. This is an exciting opportunity to join their forward-thinking Resources & Waste team, contributing to high-profile and impactful projects across the UK and globally.

As a Senior Resources & Waste Consultant, you will play a key role in the delivery of resource management strategies and waste-related environmental assessments. You will be a trusted expert, providing strategic insights and technical leadership across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure, urban development, and sustainability projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the preparation of waste and resource management strategies for major developments.
Deliver waste-related inputs to environmental impact assessments (EIA) across sectors.
Manage and mentor multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring high-quality technical outputs and strong financial performance.
Support business development and client engagement, contributing to bids and proposals from inception through to completion.
Collaborate across teams to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions that meet client and regulatory expectations.
Occasional travel within the UK and internationally may be required, depending on project needs.

Our client is looking for a knowledgeable and driven individual who is passionate about circular economy principles and has a proven track record in delivering waste consultancy services.

Degree and postgraduate qualification in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
Full membership of the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM).
Strong knowledge of UK and EU waste policy, legislation, and circular economy frameworks.
Deep technical understanding of waste technologies including MRF, IVC, MBT, AD, WtE, pyrolysis and gasification.
Experience developing waste strategies for local authorities and/or large-scale developments.
Familiarity with life-cycle assessment tools such as WRATE.
Understanding of environment and sustainability standards – e.g. ISO 14001, ISO 50001 (desirable)
Developing policies, procedures, and forms for environmental management (desirable)
