Job summary

Prestonfield House is seeking an experienced Senior Waiter to join its renowned restaurant team in Edinburgh. You will assist our Head Waiters, manage your own station across Rhubarb and Private Dining, and strive to exceed guests' high expectations in a luxury setting.

The role offers a 40-hour week with on-target earnings up to £35,040, base salary £27,040 and gratuities around £8,000. Staff meals, on-site parking, generous holiday and pension are included.

Built in 1687 by the King's architect Sir William Bruce as the private residence of Edinburgh's Lord Provost, Prestonfield today is celebrated for its opulent interiors and historic grandeur. With 18 individually designed bedrooms, 5 luxurious suites, 3 historic private dining rooms, the celebrated Rhubarb restaurant, and the circular Georgian Stables Ballroom, Prestonfield is renowned for its heritage, elegance, and award-winning hospitality.

Our package includes:

• The on-target earnings for this role are £35,040 per annum, comprising a base salary of £27,040 per annum (based on a 40-hour working week), plus a share of gratuities estimated at approximately £8,000 per annum, paid monthly
• Full time permanent contract working 40 hours per week, working 5 days from 7including weekends

As a Senior Waiter you will assist our Head Waiters and Management team with restaurant preparation; planning and running your own station, working in both Rhubarb and Private Dining whilst the main focus be on exceeding our guests' high expectations.

Similar experience is beneficial however we will provide extensive training and will help you to develop your skills in a nurturing environment
