Job summary

RTX is seeking a Vulnerability Researcher for its Raytheon UK Cyber Research Group in Gloucester on a hybrid basis. The role involves in-depth hardware and software investigations to identify security vulnerabilities, develop bespoke tools, and contribute to emerging threat analyses.

Requirements include C/C++/Python, assembly familiarity, reverse engineering tools, and Linux proficiency. SC clearance is required with eligibility for eDV clearance, with 3 days/week in the Gloucester office or

Qualifications

• Proficiency in at least one programming language (C, C++, Python).
• Familiarity with assembly language (reading or writing).
• Experience with reverse engineering tools (IDA Pro, Ghidra, Binary Ninja).
• Strong knowledge of Linux-based systems and command-line tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware and software teardowns, characterisation, and reverse engineering.
• Analyze platforms to identify security weaknesses, bugs, and potential exploits.
• Examine network protocols and system behaviours to uncover vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions and research outcomes.
• Produce clear documentation of findings, methodologies, and recommendations.
