Working across diverse, complex, and secure systems, a Multi-Disciplined Engineer will be technically capable and versatile. You will be a senior technical leader able to work independently or as part of a team to deliver business value in a demanding environment. You will support the development and sustainment of a government portfolio of systems and services as part of the Normal Change programme.

Based mainly at our customer’s site near Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, you will lead or support infrastructure and application changes in an Agile environment.

You should have broad knowledge in deploying and configuring services based on Microsoft and VMware products, including virtual infrastructure within vSphere and containers like Tanzu Kubernetes, along with extensive experience with Windows technologies. Knowledge of Linux, SQL Server, networking (CISCO), and storage (NetApp) is desirable, with flexibility to learn additional technologies.

Occasional travel to other Leidos and customer sites may be required. Staying updated on new technologies is essential to identify solutions and improvements. We believe innovation drives customer value and encourage continuous improvement.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Excellent communication skills for articulating technical issues to broad audiences.
• Experience producing high-standard technical documentation.
• Experience working in security-cleared environments/defence.
• Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere.
• Support experience with Windows Server environments, including AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP, monitoring, AV, and backup tools.
• Experience with Tanzu Kubernetes and containerized workloads.
• Knowledge of Microsoft technologies like MS SQL, System Centre, Office365, PowerShell.
• Understanding of TCP/IP networking, switches, and firewalls.
• Linux system administration skills (Ubuntu / CentOS).
• Experience with application deployment via SCCM and Windows Update Services (WSUS).
• Experience in secure LAN environments and software maintenance/support.
• Installation and configuration of Windows 10 and 11 workstations.

Basic Qualifications:

• Microsoft and VMware Certifications.
