Job summary

R/GA is seeking a Senior Visual Designer in London to define concepts, establish design strategies and systems, and oversee the delivery of visual artefacts across projects. You’ll blend conceptual thinking with craft and systems thinking to translate client challenges into intuitive, beautiful visuals, with AI augmenting creativity and craft.

You’ll work with strategy, experience design, and technology teams, mentor designers, and ensure high-quality delivery.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of design fundamentals and methodologies.
• Prototyping experience.
• Motion design experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create best-in-class design outputs meeting craft and innovation standards.
• Design UI, design systems, layouts, brand identity, iconography, and presentation narratives.
• Collaborate with strategy, experience design, and technology teams to translate ideas into tangible outcomes.
• Partner with Creative Directors to define creative direction and execute the design vision.
• Integrate AI and emerging tools into the design process to enhance creativity and execution.
• Mentor Designers and Junior Designers to elevate craft.

The role

Our designers are thinkers, makers, and storytellers who use design to bring ideas to life. They explore new creative spaces and deliver outcomes that are both innovative and purposeful. Grounded in strong design fundamentals, they balance craft and systems thinking to identify user needs, interpret client challenges, and create visual languages that are as intuitive as they are beautiful.

As a Senior Visual Designer at R/GA, you’ll be responsible for defining concepts, creating design strategies and systems, and overseeing the delivery of visual design artefacts across projects. We are looking for a mix of conceptual thinking, design craft and flair to create meaningful and memorable work.

A key part of this role is using AI as a tool to augment creativity and craft. You’ll use emerging technologies to expand ideas, elevate exploration and advance process.

• Create best-in-class design outputs that meet R/GA’s standards of craft and innovation.
• Create designs such as user interface, design systems, layouts, brand identity, iconography, and presentation narratives.
• Collaborate with strategy, experience design, and technology teams to translate ideas into tangible outcomes.
• Partner with Creative Directors to define creative direction and execute the design vision.
• Integrate AI and emerging tools into the design process to enhance creativity and execution.
• Manage the quality and consistency of visual design across all phases of a project.
• Mentor and guide Designers and Junior Designers, helping to elevate the overall craft of the team.
• Participate constructively in cross-discipline communications and presentations.
• Execute design work to ensure final deliverables meet R/GA standards and client expectations
