Position:Assistant Head of Vision / Senior Vision Engineer

Overview

An exciting opportunity is available for a passionate and motivatedAssistant Head of Visionto join a growing live events team. This role plays a crucial part in supporting and expanding the Vision Department, ensuring high standards of technical excellence and innovation are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Vision in daily departmental operations.
• Provide coverage during the Head of Vision’s absence, ensuring smooth departmental functioning.
• Act as lead vision engineer on live events, overseeing onsite setup and operations.
• Lead onsite teams, ensuring project deadlines and quality standards are achieved.
• Oversee repair and maintenance of vision inventory, ensuring equipment readiness and reliability.
• Assist in evaluating and procuring new vision technology and equipment.
• Uphold and enforce departmental policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of vision stock and related information using rental software platforms.
• Design vision systems for events, ensuring technical requirements and briefs are fulfilled.
• Create and deliver detailed technical schematics and documentation for onsite teams.
• Provide training, guidance, and technical support to team members.
• Adhere to all company policies and demonstrate a strong commitment to health and safety practices.
• Undertake additional duties as required to meet the needs of the department and business.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience as a senior vision engineer or in a comparable technical role.
• In-depth knowledge of vision systems, technologies, and equipment capabilities.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
