Contechs Consulting Limited in the UK seeks a Senior Virtual Build Engineer for a 12-month contract (Outside IR35) based in Surrey with hybrid working arrangements. You will plan, execute and report on virtual build activities across vehicle programmes, reviewing CAD data and coordinating across Manufacturing, Design and Quality teams to drive issue resolution.

The role requires senior experience in Automotive Manufacturing Engineering or Virtual Build, with strong CATIA skills, problem-solving

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Automotive Manufacturing Engineering or Virtual Build Engineering at a senior level.
• Strong CATIA experience in automotive product development.

Responsabilités

• Plan, execute, and monitor virtual build activities across vehicle programmes.
• Review engineering CAD data and manufacturing feasibility using CATIA.
• Identify, document, prioritise, and track virtual build issues through to closure.
• Coordinate engineering resolutions across Manufacturing, Design, Vehicle Development, Quality, and Programme Management teams.
• Challenge proposed engineering solutions and validate evidence of issue resolution.
• Maintain issue registers, action logs, programme dashboards, and KPI reporting.
• Support build readiness assessments and programme gateway reviews.
• Ensure all activities are delivered in line with programme timing and quality requirements.
