Job summary

Rebellion’s experienced Senior VFX Artist will join a growing VFX team, working on a large-scale project in the proprietary Asura engine. The role can be based at our studios in Oxford, Warwick or Runcorn, with relocation support.

You will drive real-time effects, own complex effects from concept to implementation, mentor junior artists, and collaborate with design, art and code leadership to shape gameplay. Benefits include medical insurance, pension and more.

Qualifications

• Proven professional experience in real-time VFX with a portfolio showing timing, clarity, artistry and technical execution.
• Advanced proficiency with Blender, Photoshop, Substance, and After Effects (or equivalents).
• Deep understanding of particle system design, texture workflows, and real-time performance optimisation.

Responsibilities

• Drive the creation of high-quality real-time visual effects, setting artistic and technical benchmarks for the team.
• Take ownership of complex effects work—from concept to final implementation—ensuring clarity, performance, and visual impact.

This role is for an experienced Senior VFX Artist who will join a passionate and growing VFX team and work on a large-scale project in Rebellion's proprietary engine “Asura”. The position can be based at any of our studios in Oxford, Warwick or Runcorn. We offer a relocation package, including moving assistance, temporary accommodation, and full support.

The VFX team is responsible for all visual effects developed in Rebellion's games, including particle effects, screen post effects, material effects, mesh destruction effects, and UI effects.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of complex effects work—from concept to final implementation—ensuring clarity, performance, and visual impact
• Collaborate with design, art, and code leadership to shape gameplay experiences and maintain a cohesive project vision
