Job summary

Zynga in London is seeking a Senior VFX & Animation Generalist to own and push the VFX and motion language of our casual puzzle games, taking visuals from concept to final in-game implementation. You will collaborate with art, design, tech art, engineering, and production to build a polished, responsive pipeline, optimize for mobile, and deliver juicy, tactile interactions that elevate gameplay.

Qualifications

• Significant experience (Senior/Lead/Principal) creating real-time VFX and animations for games, preferably casual puzzle titles.
• Proven experience owning or contributing to a VFX/animation pipeline for mobile.
• Strong grasp of fundamental animation principles applied to gameplay, UI and effects.
• Hands-on experience making VFX/animations directly in Unity.
• Solid portfolio showing in-game VFX and motion design from concept to final implementation.
• Ability to turn early concepts into polished in-engine results.
• Understanding of mobile performance constraints and optimization techniques.
• Ability to troubleshoot visual bugs and performance issues.
• Strong collaboration across art, design, tech art, engineering and production.

Responsibilities

• Own, build, and optimize the VFX and animation pipeline for dynamic, rewarding interactions in top-tier casual puzzle games.
• Create high-quality VFX and animations from ideation to final implementation in Unity.
• Design and implement juicy interactions and celebratory effects that feel tactile and satisfying.
• Contribute creative ideas to make puzzle pieces, UI, environments and effects feel alive and responsive.
• Work hands-on with Unity workflows: Animation timeline, Particle System, Shader Graph, URP, custom materials, and animation-driven effects.
• Translate concepts into polished in-engine effects and motion.
• Optimize VFX/animations for mobile, balancing ambition with performance and production constraints.
• Identify bottlenecks and propose practical solutions with teams.
