Job summary

Swift Referrals in Wetherby is seeking a residency-trained, board-certified (ECVS/ACVS) or board-eligible Veterinary Surgeon to join a collaborative specialist-led team. The hospital offers a broad referral caseload across soft tissue, neurology and orthopaedic surgery with a leading ECC team and access to advanced facilities.

The role provides 4-day weeks, on-call duties, and a supportive environment with CPD funding and a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• RCVS registration and a veterinary degree are required.
• Residency-trained, board-certified (ECVS/ACVS) or board-eligible status or significant referral-level experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied and complex referral caseload across soft tissue, neurology and/or orthopaedic surgery, depending on expertise.
• Deliver advanced surgical procedures and exceptional standards of patient care.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary referral environment.
• Provide clinical advice and support to referring veterinary practices.
• Support and mentor colleagues through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute positively to the continued growth and development of the surgical referral service.
