Job summary

The Laurels in Runcorn is seeking a Senior Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly, supportive team. You will work alongside our Clinical Director to shape the practice’s future, mentor the next generation of vets, and help drive a culture where people matter.

The role includes a 4-day week, weekend/ bank holiday rota, and occasional ECC exposure at our sister practice Beech House Veterinary Hospital in Warrington, ensuring hands-on leadership and a broad case mix.

Qualifications

  • Experience mentoring newly qualified vets.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality clinical care.
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills within a veterinary team.

We’re seeking an exceptional Senior Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly, supportive team at The Laurels, Runcorn - a leadership role where your experience and ideas truly matter. You will work alongside our Clinical Director to shape the practice’s future, mentor the next generation of vets, and thrive in a team that truly values its people

What you’ll be doing
  • Mentoring and training newly and recently qualified vets, helping them build skills, confidence and clinical judgement
  • Provide high-quality, compassionate clinical care across a wide range of cases, maintaining and promote excellent client care and communication
  • Help create a supportive, respectful and collaborative working environment where everyone feels valued and able to thrive
The role
  • Full-time (4-day working week - because work-life balance matters)
  • Participation in the weekend and bank holiday rota
  • Sundays & Bank Holidays based at our sister practice, Beech House Veterinary Hospital in Warrington giving access to ECC case load.
