Job description

County Vet Group are looking for a Senior Veterinary Surgeon to join their dedicated, friendly, and supportive team. All clinical interests are welcome. Who are we? Based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, close to the town centre, our caseload allows our team members to develop their skills. The team at Friarswood has varied expertise, providing everyone with the opportunity to shine. We utilize visiting specialists to maintain in-house experience and foster talent development, which also helps strengthen client relationships and continuity of care.

County Vets is part of CVS, a leading veterinary group with over 500 practices across the UK and Australia. We aim to provide excellent clinical care and a supportive work environment, empowering our veterinary professionals to make the best decisions for their patients while sharing best practices. Our facilities include laparoscopic equipment, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, and other tools to facilitate case workups, supported by an experienced nursing team. Our team includes certificate holders in medicine and dentistry, providing additional support and expertise.

We support your development interests, especially in surgical certificates. We are supported by an OOH provider, with no Sunday or Bank Holiday work required.

Our rota and working options: The position is full-time but we are open to part-time or fixed-term arrangements. Our vets typically work four days a week, with Saturday mornings on a rota. There is also an option to work between our Sandbach and Alsager practices, offering variety and different working environments.
