Practice Overview:
- Practice Name: Melton Vets
- Practice Type: Independent, First Opinion, Small Animal
- Ownership Structure: 2 Partners (Open to senior vet becoming a partner)
- Location: Melton (Own train station, onsite parking)
- Facilities: 4 consult rooms, 2 surgical theatres
- Caseload: Small animal, including routine procedures (dentals, spays) and occasional guinea pigs
Role Overview:
- Position: Small Animal Vet
- Experience Level: Ideally 5+ years (open to candidates with 3+ years)
- Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
- Weekend on-call rota (1/5 weekends, Saturday/Sunday)
- 1 weekday on-call
- Flexible, open to 4 or 5-day working week
- Out-of-Hours Rota: 1 night per week
- Sole Charge: Yes, some sole charge required
- Consult Times: 15 minutes
- Day Structure:
- 1 dedicated ops day (4 ops)
- Remaining days focused on consultations
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality small animal care, including consultations and routine surgeries
- Participate in weekend and night on-call rota
