Job summary

Inspiring Vet Care is seeking a Veterinary Ophthalmologist to join the South Devon Veterinary Hospital & Referrals. You will manage complex ophthalmology cases within a dedicated Ophthalmology service and collaborate with a wider hospital team to deliver outstanding patient care.

We welcome a Veterinary Surgeon with RCVS registration or eligibility and a postgraduate Ophthalmology qualification. The role offers a flexible pattern, including full-time opportunities, within a well-equipped

Qualifications

• Must be a Veterinary Surgeon registered with the RCVS or eligible to register.
• Postgraduate qualification in Veterinary Ophthalmology (ECVO/ACVO/CertAVP) is preferred.
• Experience in a referral or specialist setting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced ophthalmology care across a varied referral caseload.
• Manage complex ophthalmic diagnostic and surgical cases.
• Provide clinical guidance to colleagues and referring practices.
• Support mentoring and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Work with the Practice Director to promote clinical best practice across sites.
