Job summary

Pride Veterinary Referrals is seeking a Diplomate in Veterinary Ophthalmology to join our established referral team in Derby. You will manage a varied ophthalmology caseload, delivering exceptional patient care and collaborating with colleagues across the hospital.

The Ophthalmology service is supported by a dedicated team and state-of-the-art facilities, with opportunities to teach and develop clinically through the University of Nottingham partnership.

Qualifications

• ECVO/ACVO Diplomate status is required.
• Advanced clinical expertise in medical and surgical ophthalmology.
• Strong communication and collaboration with referring vets and multidisciplinary teams.
• Interest in teaching, mentoring and CPD delivery.
• Experience contributing to teaching and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding referral-level ophthalmology care to patients and clients.
• Investigate and manage routine and complex ophthalmic cases.
• Mentor and support colleagues; contribute to undergraduate teaching.
• Deliver CPD and participate in service development.
• Collaborate with clinicians across multiple disciplines.
