Job summary

Scottish Event Campus Limited is seeking a Senior Venue Services Manager to lead the Venue Services Team across SEC Centre, SEC Armadillo, and OVO Hydro. You will coordinate front of house operations, support F&B delivery with SEC Food, and oversee ancillary services such as cleaning and merchandise during events.

The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and a solid understanding of premises licensing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Venue Services Team to deliver front of house operations.
• Liaise with SEC Food (Levy) and other services to ensure seamless service during events.
• Coordinate internal relationships across Live Entertainment, Conferences and Exhibitions.
• Oversee building repairs and maintenance with Facilities and stakeholders; escalate where needed.
• Fulfil the role of designated premises manager and pursue Personal Licence if required.
• Oversee Alcohol Management Plans for all three venues and ensure Good To Go checks are completed.

Comprising the SEC Centre, SEC Armadillo and the OVO Hydro, the Scottish Event Campus (SEC) is Scotland's premier venue for events, gigs, conferences, and exhibitions. We enjoy an enviable reputation as one of Europe’s most prestigious venues with the OVO Hydro consistently ranked in the top 3 busiest venues in the world, attracting over 2 million visitors per year.

As Senior Venue Services Manager, you will be responsible for working as part of the Venue Services Team which sits within the Event Management & Venue Operations function to help deliver the following:

• Manage and support the newly established Venue Services team.
• Liaise with and monitor other teams and venue partners service delivery during all event open periods, with a focus on the front of house operations and the food and beverage operation delivered by SEC Food (Levy) alongside other services such as LSS (cleaning), National Merchandise, Hospitality and Commercial partner delivery through OVO and Sky.
• Effectively coordinate and support internal relationships and cooperation between SEC Food and SEC operational departments across all sectors (Live Entertainment, Conferences, and Exhibitions).
• Ensure effective oversight of building repairs and maintenance activities, collaborating with Facilities and other stakeholders to address recurring front of house issues through timely resolution or escalation.
• Fulfil the role of designated premises manager and in doing so become a holder of a valid Personal License. Oversee SEC Food’s development and delivery of Alcohol Management Plans for all three venues.
• Responsible for a range of front of house venue services checks pre-doors contributing to the overall venue 'Good To Go' checklist.

We are seeking a candidate who possesses a strong background in managing large-scale events and venues comparable to the SEC, alongside proven experience leading and supporting small teams within demanding, dynamic, and high-profile settings. Demonstrates the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and has a sound understanding of premises licensing. Experience as a Personal Licence Holder is desirable, with support available to obtain this qualification if required. An experienced catering and venue professional with at least five years' experience. This role will be a key member of the onsite Event Team and therefore late night, weekend and early starts will be a regular part of the working pattern.
