Job summary

The Opportunity Hub UK Ltd in Corby is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join an experienced workshop team. You will service, maintain and repair a variety of vehicles, fit tyres, perform road tests and inspections, and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using manufacturer guidelines.

You will mentor junior technicians and uphold high safety and quality standards. Applicants should hold City & Guilds NVQ Level 2/3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair and possess a full, valid UK

Qualifications

• City & Guilds NVQ Level 2/3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (essential).
• Full, valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine vehicle servicing, maintenance and general mechanical repairs.
• Undertake tyre fitting and replacement duties across a range of vehicles.
• Perform road tests, ramp inspections and vehicle assessments as required.
• Complete repairs using approved methods and manufacturer guidelines to restore vehicles to their original condition.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, carrying out further electrical diagnostics where necessary.
• Undertake warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer standards and procedures.
• Plan and organise workloads effectively to meet deadlines while maintaining productivity and quality.
• Assist with general workshop duties to support smooth running of the department.
• Provide guidance and technical support to junior technicians, sharing knowledge and expertise when required.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment in line with health and safety requirements.
