Perfect Placement UK Ltd. seeks an experienced Senior Vehicle Technician for an established independent garage in Henfield, West Sussex. The role offers stability in a modern, heated workshop known for quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

The successful candidate will service, diagnose and repair all makes/models, with the potential for overtime. NVQ Level 3 or time-served, full UK driving licence, and strong fault-finding skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive repair experience.
• NVQ Level 3 or time-served will be considered.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability.
• Full UK driving licence.
• MOT Testing Licence is advantageous but not essential.
• Experience with brands such as Ford, Land Rover, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo or Nissan is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Perform servicing, repairs and routine maintenance across all makes and models.
• Diagnose vehicle faults using diagnostic tools and software.
• Carry out brake, clutch and timing belt repairs and replacements.
• Remove, strip and refit engines and gearboxes as needed.
• Maintain high workshop standards and comply with company procedures.

Duties

• As a Senior Vehicle Technician, complete servicing, repairs and routine maintenance across all makes and models.
• Diagnose vehicle faults using computer hardware and diagnostic software.
• Carry out brake, clutch and timing belt repairs and replacements.
• Undertake engine and gearbox removal, stripping and fitting.
• Maintain consistently high workshop standards.
• The successful Senior Vehicle Technician will complete all work in accordance with company procedures and quality standards.

Requirements

• Previous experience in an automotive repair environment.
• NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent; time-served applicants will also be considered.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability.
• Methodical approach with excellent attention to detail.
• An MOT Testing Licence is advantageous but not essential.
• Full UK driving licence.
