Senior VAT Compliance Tax Analyst - EMEA Region
Location: Manchester (5 days onsite)
Contract: 6 months
Pay Rate: £291.44 per day
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Senior VAT Compliance Analyst to join a leading global business. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a high-impact international VAT team within the International Indirect Tax Compliance function. While experience in indirect tax is advantageous, the key qualities are being proactive, analytical, and adaptable to a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.

This position involves supporting VAT compliance across France, Italy, Spain, and Sweden from Manchester, collaborating with international colleagues.

What You'll Be Doing

• Preparing, reviewing, and submitting VAT, Intrastat, and ECSL filings for France, Italy, Spain, and Sweden
• Managing VAT registrations and compliance for various EMEA entities
• Supporting audits, data analysis, and reconciling VAT accounts
• Collaborating with tech, finance, and tax teams to automate and improve processes
• Taking ownership of your responsibilities and contributing to a global compliance function

About You

We're looking for candidates who:

• Have 5+ years' experience in VAT advisory or compliance with a solid understanding of VAT
• Hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field
• Are technically proficient, especially with Excel functions like PivotTables, SUMIFS, and VLOOKUP
• Are self-motivated and work well independently
• Remain calm under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Are collaborative, curious, and process-oriented

Bonus Points

• Possess a tax or accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, AAT)
• Have language skills in Italian or French
• Experience with audits and financial systems
