Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust seeks an experienced leader to steer the Vascular Studies Unit, delivering expert ultrasound and MDT guidance across the Thames Valley network.

You will collaborate with the Clinical Lead and Directorate Manager to achieve national targets, drive quality assurance, governance, CPD and service improvements while managing recruitment, performance and budgets.

Qualifications

• Masters level education or expected to work towards in this post.
• First Level Degree in relevant science subject
• Fully accredited vascular scientist (AVS) by the CSVS
• Teaching / mentoring

Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical leadership within the Vascular Studies Unit (VSU) delivering high-quality ultrasound reporting and MDT input.
• Lead strategic direction, governance, risk management and quality assurance activities for the division.
• Oversee referrals, capacity planning, and service development within budgets and targets.
• Support workforce management including recruitment, appraisal, supervision and CPD for staff.
• Collaborate with clinical leads to ensure patient safety, timely care and effective collaboration with other disciplines.
