The key purpose of the role is to support the Head of Actuarial Risk and the Chief Risk Officer - Bermuda, by performing deep dive validation for the XL Bermuda (XLB) Internal Capital Model.

What you0ll be doing

What will your essential responsibilities include?

  • Perform deep dive, independent validation exercises on the methodology, parameters and output of the Internal Model for XLB, by risk category.
  • Construct validation tests and perform additional validation exercises complementing first line validating testing and the work of external validators.
  • Document validation analysis, findings and recommendations for inclusion in the XLB validation report.
  • Respond with queries from internal stakeholders and the Bermuda regulator as required.
  • Present outcomes of independent validation at relevant committees.
  • Where appropriate, to support the validation of internal models for other AXA XL legal entities (e.g. the Lloyds syndicates) with validation activities that are complementary to those being done for XLB.

You will have a dual reporting line to Head of Actuarial Risk and Chief Risk Officer - Bermuda.
