Senior UX/UI Designer (UK)
Location: Greater London
Type of role: Hybrid (with 50% presence in the client's office)
We’re looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer to lead the UI strategy and implementation for complex data-related products within one of our large clients. This is a high-impact role focused on simplifying complex workflows through intuitive, user-centred design, directly supporting real-time decisions across an airline.
You’ll work closely with Airline domain experts—controllers, logistics and scheduling teams—to reimagine critical tools that sit at the heart of operations. Beyond great design execution, we’re looking for someone with a consultant mindset: someone who can raise the bar on how design is approached, challenge assumptions, and influence both strategy and culture.
You’ll take ownership of establishing a design system, ensuring visual and functional consistency at scale. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to establish DesignOps practices that optimise team workflows, improve collaboration across disciplines, and maximise design’s value across the product lifecycle.
This role is ideal for a hands-on designer who thrives in complex environments, brings strategic thinking to execution, and is passionate about embedding design as a core driver of operational excellence.
The impact you'll make:
- Provide design leadership within product delivery teams working closely with product managers, UX researchers, engineers, and data scientists.
- Lead the creation of user-centric experiences that meet a high-quality, industry-leading standard.
- Partner with product managers, engineers and operational experts to deeply understand business needs and turn complexity into professional, human-centered solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design alignment with product goals and technical feasibility.
- Translate requirements into user flows, wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes that lead to an intuitive user experience.
- Assist the Product Design Principal or Product Design Manager with managing the design work within a product space, ensuring clear and solid communication with other teams.
- Validate designs with end users via common research best practices and techniques.
- Champion best practices in accessibility, interaction design, and user-centered thinking across the product lifecycle.
- Mentor and guide other team members, fostering a culture of craft, innovation, and feedback.
- Present designs and validated findings back to team members and stakeholders (internal and external).
- Evangelise systematisation and reusability when designing your experiences, thinking of how you can lead the componentization and contribution of design decisions back to a design system.
- Articulate the value of design in your daily work with others outside of design.
- Lead design talks and process improvement workshops in partnership with other leaders in the Domain.
