A leading retail organization based in Bracknell is seeking a Senior UX Researcher to enhance customer experiences within eCommerce. This hybrid role involves conducting various UX research methodologies and collaborating with cross-functional teams to inform product design. Ideal candidates will have experience in user research and a relevant degree. The salary range is £50,000 - £65,000, depending on experience.
About the role
This is a hybrid working role; your time will be split between working from home and the Bracknell office, with a target of no more than two days a week in the office to connect. Some travel to our London Pimlico office or to different partnership locations across the UK may be required depending on the project. As a Senior UX Researcher within the Product Design and Research team at Waitrose Online you’ll play a key role in the success of our customer experiences. You will support one of our Product Domains and work collaboratively with cross-disciplinary product teams. Your work will inform product design and development and ensure our user experiences are useful, usable and valuable for our customers. You will be responsible for bringing an understanding of end users to your product teams through proactively and reactively conducting UX Research.
Collaborating with stakeholders, designers and managers in the team is a key part of the role to ensure research is conducted at all stages of the design thinking process. You will work closely with the UX Research Manager to craft project strategies through a broad range of research methods from discovery activities to prototype testing and live field studies. You’ll conduct a wide variety of research methods from interviews and surveys to testing in our labs and stores. We expect researchers to be out in stores or fulfilment centres on an ad hoc basis observing the experience and shadowing partners to truly connect with our business.
You’ll work with partners across the entire eCommerce landscape to understand how our business and functions operate, empathise with customers and partners, understand the challenges they face and support our team with developing innovative opportunities.
