About this opportunity

We’re looking for someone to lead one of our Experience Design squads in Everyday Banking. You'll provide guidance to stakeholders, development teams and other Interaction Designers, working alongside and leading a design team. You'll take full ownership of their output, providing rationale for design decisions and confidently present their work back to stakeholders.

As a Senior UX Designer, it’ll be your role to:

  • Having a deep understanding of customer needs, pain points and expectations

  • Work with service designers to influence and develop the roadmap and overall product strategy

  • Engage with leadership to understand objectives and opportunities aligned to good customer outcomes

  • Provide leadership to a team of multi-disciplinary designers to support decision-making, delivery and team culture

  • Establish a growth culture and build capabilities through the formal development and mentoring of team members

What you'll need

  • A proven track record of building brilliant digital product experiences

  • The confidence to advocate for Dual Track Agile (continuous discovery & continuous delivery)

  • Deep expertise within Product Design/User Experience design/Interaction Design

  • Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams

  • A cross-functional mindset and strong stakeholder engagement skills; you'll be able to build strong relationships with Product & Engineering peers and wider partners

  • A strong strategic vision that aligns well to the overall business strategy

  • We insist that the people we work with are considerate and have a high sense of personal accountability to do the difficult, right things. We look for people with generous natures and high standards of fairness. Most important, they must be able to put their egos aside and assess themselves candidly.

We’re disability confident. So if you’d like reasonable adjustments to be made to our recruitment processes, just let us know.

We also offer a wide-ranging benefits package, which includes:
