Role: Senior UX Designer at Canonical

Canonical, creators of Ubuntu, is seeking an exceptional senior user experience designer to join our design team. Our mission is to turn complex, open-source software into intuitive products that can revolutionize enterprise IT.

We aim to make enterprise-grade open source software, applications, and services accessible worldwide, impacting millions of engineers, enterprises, entrepreneurs, and consumers daily. Our multidisciplinary team includes visual designers, UX designers, and developers working collaboratively to create innovative web projects.

This role reports to a UX manager and is based remotely in the EMEA region.

Responsibilities:

1. Research new features and improvements with the open source community and Canonical customers.
2. Collaborate with product managers and engineers to shape product development.
3. Develop and promote design systems to ensure consistency and efficiency.
4. Provide guidance to the design team aligned with product strategy and best practices.
5. Engage with the open source community to promote feature adoption and good design practices.
