Qualifications

We are looking for

a Senior Utilities Assessor to undertake assessments against one or more of the Utility business sector schemes and those that are managed by other LRQA businesses, including but not limited to:

  • Gas Industry Registration Scheme (GIRS)
  • Water Industry Registration Scheme (WIRS)
  • National Electricity Registration Scheme (NERS)
  • Northern Power Grid Site Audits
  • Cadent site assessments
  • Building Information Modelling (BIM)
  • Build Offsite Property Assurance Scheme (BOPAS)
  • Asset Management standards ISO and API
  • PAS Underground Utility Detection (PUMA)

to perform on-site assessments within agreed broad parameters that include budget constraints and contractual requirements.

to produce the report of the assessment within the agreed broad parameters in an appropriate format and take responsibility to review and monitor other employees’ work as requested.

to discuss/present the outcome of the assessment with the external client at a senior level and be able to suggest alternative solutions where appropriate.

to undertake routine administration as required in line with current processes and procedures.

to assess/recommend the time/value of the work to be undertaken for an external client within an agreed fee/cost structure and within the commercial aspects of the contract.

to pursue CPD and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.

to conduct activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation, and industry standards.

to develop technically other employees, as appropriate, to achieve effective knowledge transfer and application.

to contribute to internal/external client management as appropriate by acting as point of contact to effectively manage client and LRQA relationships.

to make recommendations based on external client feedback to assist in service delivery improvement and to help build the business.

to undertake project management where applicable including monitoring project progress and spend against budget and contract requirements.
