About the Department
Global Macro Research is Aberdeen's economic and political-risk research team, undertaking macro research and analysis to drive better investment outcomes. We produce economic forecasts, specify alternative scenarios, use a range of econometric tools, and undertake political risk analysis. This is communicated by research notes, webinars, podcasts, and a wide variety of internal investor and client interactions. The team has experience across central banking, ratings agencies, investment banking, portfolio management, and consultancy. We are a trusted economic research partner to portfolio managers, risk managers, the broader corporate entity, and our clients. Our research is integrated into investment processes, portfolio decision making, risk management, and corporate planning.
About the Role
We are seeking a senior economist to lead our research, analysis, forecasting, and scenario analysis of the US economy. The successful candidate will play a key role in forming wider global economic views alongside other senior economists and the Chief Economist.
