The Unit Linked Box Management team are responsible for unit pricing and monitoring/managing the market risk exposure from the box (company holding) in unit-linked funds.

The role is responsible for managing the delivery of unit-linked processes and compliance with company policies to manage box exposure. You will collaborate closely with a diverse range of stakeholders, including investment managers, third party providers and senior leadership, to ensure timely trading within unit-linked funds minimising market risk.

The ideal candidate will exhibit a commitment to excellence, a robust understanding of unit-linked fund pricing and box management within the financial services sector. Your role will be important in supporting strategic Group projects, ultimately contributing to the overall success of our organisation. About the role
  • Oversee the day-to-day operational running of box management processes, ensuring timely and high-quality output and driving continuous process improvements towards best practice.
  • Analysis of unit pricing issues or errors, ensuring compliance with control and governance requirements.
  • Provide insight and deliver clear and concise communications to key senior stakeholders, including via governance forums.
  • Providing effective delegation, review and coaching to other team members, sharing subject-matter expertise of complex processes involving box management and unit-pricing.
  • Lead regular interactions across senior leadership and key internal and external stakeholders, providing support, insight, and challenge over a wide variety of unit-linked activities.
  • Support and provide subject-matter unit-linked expertise on key strategic Group projects.
About you
  • Experience in unit-linked box management and unit pricing is essential.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and can be relied upon to represent Group Finance in both internal and external meetings, guiding and influencing decision making and compliance with best practice.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, independently and help guide others through review and sharing knowledge. Act as a key point of contact for other teams.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, including ability to communicate complex matters in a clear and understandable way.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to manage own and others’ workloads to tight deadlines.
  • Be proactive and decisive, showing initiative in driving improvement, efficiency and accuracy.
  • Innovative approach to problem solving.
