Westfield Specialty International is seeking a highly experienced and entrepreneurial Senior Underwriter, Renewables to join its Energy Division within the Lloyd’s of London market. This pivotal role will be instrumental in developing and expanding our renewables underwriting portfolio, with a focus on clean energy technologies including wind (onshore/offshore), solar, battery storage, hydrogen, and emerging sustainable infrastructure.

The successful candidate will:

• Work alongside the Class Underwriter to lead underwriting strategy for the renewables book of business
• Build and manage a profitable renewables book
• Cultivate strong broker and client relationships across global markets
• Analyse risk, structure complex deals, and ensure compliance with Lloyd’s and internal guidelines
• Represent Westfield at market and industry events to enhance brand profile in renewables

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 7–10 years of industry experience, with a strong focus on energy and renewables
• Deep knowledge of the Lloyd’s market and global renewable energy landscape
• Proven track record in portfolio development and strategic underwriting
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Passion for sustainable energy and innovation within specialty insurance
