Role Description

Allianz has an ambition to expand its Multinational MidCorp offering to satisfy and support the increasing demand from the expanding international client base and their cross border needs.

As a result of this, we’re seeking an experienced Senior Multinational Underwriter in Property and Casualty to join us on this journey. This will be a hybrid position and we have offices in London, Manchester and Birmingham.

You'll participate in the Global P&C Academy accreditation, enhancing your skills in underwriting, risk engineering, pricing, and claims management while exchanging best practices across the Allianz Group. Furthermore, for pricing-based roles, Allianz Insurance offers a generous study package to enable the actuarial qualification to be obtained through the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in the UK.

Salary Information

Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.

About You

As a Multinational Senior P&C Underwriter, your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a Senior Authority holder focussed on winning and retaining business of a large and complex nature
  • Providing excellent service to our customers and developing business relationships with key clients
  • To build and develop successful relationships with brokers and end customers, being visible in the local market.
  • Achieving agreed financial and operational performance targets
  • Providing support and guidance to colleagues on lower license levels, signing off referrals and working on quality assurance
  • To collaborate strongly with others and across departments to achieve the Company's goals in respect of service delivery – a good team player

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Outstanding technical underwriting skills in commercial property and casualty lines.
  • Proven track record of dealing with large and/or complex multinational risks
  • Capability of leveraging data and analytics
  • Excellent trading skills and a confident negotiator, with a strong ability to build, develop and maintain relationships, both internal and external.
  • Full working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • ACII qualified or progression towards
