How does this role contribute to our success?

The Capital Risk Solutions (‘CRS’) team provides credit insurance to banks, development banks, and export agencies. The global team, located in London, Singapore, Zurich, and Bermuda, focuses on project finance, aircraft finance, risk transfer, and structured credit transactions.

You will originate, manage, and execute transactions across CRS markets, working closely with the team to build a profitable credit risk portfolio for AXIS.


What will you do?

  • Attract new business fitting CRS criteria from existing and new clients.
  • Develop relationships with brokers and clients, marketing CRS capabilities.
  • Discuss opportunities and pipeline with the CRS team to ensure aligned strategies.
  • Review submissions, provide feedback, and determine transaction development.
  • Analyze detailed information, assess risks, and advise the Head of CRS.
  • Present transactions to credit committees and coordinate with legal and analytical teams.
  • Engage with the credit insurance and banking markets through events and conferences.
  • Represent the company at industry events and develop networks.
  • Manage portfolio risks, including reporting and claims management.

You may also undertake additional duties appropriate to the role.

About You:

Preferred qualifications:

  • At least 8 years of experience in credit underwriting, credit insurance broking, or related banking roles.
  • Finance qualifications like CFA are desirable.
  • Strong analytical and summarization skills.
  • Independent opinion-forming and constructive teamwork abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills adaptable to different audiences.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a balanced risk approach.
  • Knowledge of insurance, financial markets, and geopolitical trends.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Capital IQ, and credit modeling tools.

Role Factors:

  • Work in the office at least 3 days per week.
  • Travel internationally and occasionally on weekends.
  • Attend events during evenings and weekends as needed.
