Tax Recruitment Lead - Consumer Industries

About the Role

Responsible for managing UK direct tax compliance and reporting for UK tax-resident entities, including corporate and withholding taxes. The role involves liaising with HMRC, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations, and supporting tax relief claims. It also includes advisory support for restructuring and optimisation projects.

Responsibilities

• Corporate Tax & VAT Compliance: Oversee UK corporate tax and VAT filings, working with external providers and internal teams. Includes R&D claims, interest restrictions, and CFC analysis.
• Tax Reporting: Manage UK tax reporting for statutory accounts and group IFRS reporting. Support external audits and maintain accurate tax forecasts and budgets.
• Pillar II Compliance: Lead compliance efforts for Global Minimum Tax requirements, including data collection and reporting.
• Withholding Tax: Handle WHT filings and relief claims, including treaty benefits and documentation.
• Risk Management: Support tax audits, maintain risk registers, and ensure compliance with SAO and VAT regulations.
• Other Taxes: Assist with employment tax matters and operational tax queries.
• Advisory: Provide input on UK tax aspects of transactions, restructurings, and ad hoc queries.

Qualifications

• Degree + professional tax/accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CA)
• 8+ years in UK tax roles
• Strong UK corporate tax and VAT experience
• Analytical, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
