Job summary

Future Talent Group is looking for a Senior UAS/UAV Technician in Oxford to join a fast-paced R&D environment, focusing on avionics integration, flight testing, and platform development. You will own wiring harness work, diagnostics, payload integration, and hands-on electrical tasks across prototype and production builds, reporting to the Chief Engineer.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with UAVs or aerospace systems.
Soldering, wiring, fault finding, and bench testing fundamentals.
Experience integrating avionics, sensors, payloads, or mission systems.
Ability to work in fast-paced R&D or technology development environments.
Proactive mindset with the ability to solve problems independently.

Responsibilities

Support the integration, assembly, and testing of advanced UAS/UAV platforms.
Own flight testing, system evaluation, and technical troubleshooting activities.
Build and modify wiring harnesses, connectors, and avionics systems.
Carry out soldering, bench testing, diagnostics, and electrical integration work.
Support payload integration including sensors, LiDAR, thermal imaging, and mission systems.
Assist with system validation before handover to flight operations teams.
Work closely with engineering teams on prototype and production builds.
Help improve internal processes, documentation, and testing capability as the business grows.
