Job Description:

Salary - Up to £60,000 dependent on experience.

Eden Scott is supporting a leading technology client in appointing a Turbine-Mounted Lidar Performance Analyst. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a LiDAR specialist to advance their career within a renowned organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop industry-accepted lidar power performance methods using CW lidar measurements, building on existing techniques and standards.
  • Create methods for lidar power performance induction zone using rotor equivalent/effective measurements.
  • Understand and facilitate lidar system development aligned with industry standards (IEC, DNV GL, IEA).
  • Generate evidence (case studies, papers) to promote new methodologies to OEMs and industry stakeholders.
  • Provide pre-sales support for turbine lidar applications based on industry standards.
  • Lead technical project management for turbine-lidar projects.
  • Develop analytical tools for large, complex datasets from turbine-mounted technology.
  • Analyze wind turbine/wind farm data to provide actionable insights.
  • Create data-driven solutions for exploiting advanced lidar measurements.
  • Support lidar trials and exercises to develop next-generation wind energy solutions.
  • Develop metrics and approaches for lidar-assisted control.
  • Use analysis results to inform product improvements.
Requirements:
  • Degree qualification in a relevant field.
  • Practical experience in the wind industry or with wind industry data (e.g., anemometry, remote sensors, SCADA).
  • Experience with scientific tools such as R, Python, Matlab.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to work from the client's office in Worcestershire.
Salary and Benefits:

Salary of up to £60,000, dependent on experience, plus performance-related annual bonuses.
