Clark Wood in Surrey is seeking a Trust Accountant to join the Trust & Wealth Services team, handling UK and offshore trusts and estates. The role involves liaising with trustees and advisers, managing a varied portfolio and supervising junior staff.

Experience in trust accounting and taxation is essential, with strong organisational, communication and IT skills to deliver accurate work to deadlines in a busy private client environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in trust accounting is essential.
• Knowledge of trust taxation including onshore and offshore matters.
• Experience preparing trust accounts and/or trust tax returns.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and IT skills.
• Ability to delegate and supervise junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Preparing trust accounts and tax returns for UK and non-UK trusts and estates
• Preparing accounts and tax returns for trusts, charities, estates and HNW individuals
• Preparing tax pool computations for offshore trusts
• Assisting with the ongoing administration of trusts, charities and estates
• Liaising directly with trustees, professional advisers and other relevant parties
• Managing your own workflow and ensuring client work is completed accurately and within deadlines
• Delegating work to and supervising junior members of the team
